Black Mental Health Awareness

 Black Mental Health Awareness

As a Black American I noticed a lot of men and women. In the Black Community. Just do not believe in mental health. Most see it as "White folks shit" Which just isn't the case. Some blacks see therapy as a thing for just rich middle aged white women. But it can be both easily attained and benefeit all people.

I truly believe that most issues in the Black Community would slowly resolve, if we all can tackle mental issues.

A lot of young Black men and women in America aren't all the stereotypes that portray us in a negative light.

The Black youth here in America are dealing with untreated psych health. I am a person who can relate, because I myself am apart of this same youth community.

The Black youth here in the states are hurt and confused. This pain and rage is not always focused into positive action.

As a Black American our culture kinda frowns upon therapy and psyche medication treatment. I understand its good to keep the faith. But God wants us to help ourselves on this journey.

When you start to be more conscious of how you feel, and why you react. It can feel very spiritual in a way. Also really empowering.

When you read this, know there is nothing wrong with telling someone, I feel lost. That's how you stay on the right path. Never feel shame or guilt from reaching out to help heal you and your mind.

Try to dismiss the judgement you feel you're receiving from those around you. Mental Health is crucial. So don't ever feel like a burden from trying to improve the thoughts you have to live with.
