 Importance of Talking To The Elderly

Talking to the elderly is the closest we can get to a time machine. They have seen a lifetime of events play out. When speaking with them, all queries should be asked and every answer well documented. 

Losing an older person is like losing a library. Always try to ask questions when speaking to older people like your grandparents. The amazing thing about it, is that you will grow stronger and wiser. 

It's also nice to hear older people's views on historical events. That is something even school textbooks can not give you.  

Advice and wisdom is something I must always try to procure. Our old people are a treasure we must cherish. Someone born in 1941 was 80 years ago. Which was the time of ww2. So those people have witnessed folks from 80 years back beyond that. Which was 1861. The beggining of the Civil War of the United States. 

The generations are really not that far back. But the knowledge our Human time capsules take with them. Is something we can't afford losing in time.
