Willpower

With habits, the more you say no. The easier it gets. Willpower, it's like a muscle that can be trained. It can and will become stronger over time. When you're quitting a habit.  It may seem difficult. But you'll notice. The more you say no to that drug. Or that piece of cake. The more often you're likely to quit. Your brain will get used to the body and mind saying no. That the cravings will become reduced. Keep your body and the mind busy with chores and other healthy habits. To avoid the unhealthy habits you may have. Using positive reinforcement. Reward yourself for saying no to your old habits. And developing a routine helps keep your mind off. And the routine will build up healthy habits over time. The process is slow. But it gets better over time. Being social. Be it in person or online is a healthy way of avoiding temptation. Avoiding places and people that trigger you can also help in your sobriety.
