Positive Social Reinforcement

Being nice has a positive social reinforcement effect. This is why it feels good to be kind to others. It's the right thing to do. And it gives the one receiving the compliment a boost and the sender. Even when going out of the way to help assist a coworker feels nice. And benefits the whole company. At the same time. A good positive observation will linger in the mind. And that will go a long way. So try to give the store clerk a compliment to help them through their shift. Even if you don't give them a compliment. Just saying "Hope you have a good shift" or "Have a great shift" is better than saying have a great day. Everyone feels better when someone helps them and shows them someone really cares and will look out for you. This world is tough sometimes. And no one has time or emotional energy for toxic behavior. Be kind to others. And people most likely will be kind to you. And try to be aware of misunderstood moments that may happen. Be aware of what was said to be able to clear things up. If a misunderstanding has happened. This shows people you have character and integrity. When you're able to show you made a mistake or said something wrong and will clear things up. This makes people respect you.
