 Top 5 Tips on Depression


Sadness:

I know about depression and sadness. Crying spells. Getting teary eyed at small emotional stimuli. It seems like everything makes you just wanna break down. And feelings of guilt that seem to torture you. I'll tell you how to get passed this. 


Mindset:

Your mindset when depressed feels like complete hopeless thoughts. Shame and remorse at bad things you have done and said. Think about all you conquered and overcame. Relight that spark of proudness. You're not as bad as you think you are. Especially if you actually genuinely feel sad about things you have done or said. Your thought process creates your reality. 


Feelings of Guilt:

Just because you feel guilty doesn't mean you should hurt yourself. Sometimes what you have done to friends and family is forgiven. They know you and they know your mental health that you struggle with. Get sleep and give your mind peace. Dry those tears. And remember all the good you have done. Someone out there really loves you. And cares about you. Cheer up. I know you can. 


Feelings of Hopelessness:

I understand when you feel like good days will never come. But listen, this is part of the Human experience. Pain doesn't last if you actively try to make your day better. Change the negative things that haunt your mind. And remember it takes the bad days to enjoy the good days. Everyone has scattered days of good and bad. And remember you're not alone in the world with your mental health. Talk to people. And you don't have to vent about the specific things that bother you. We all need Human connection and a night out. Or a day at home with friends and loved ones can brighten your days. 


Shame:

We all have sinned. And one dark place can't be hidden forever from the light. I know the shame makes you want to give up on everything. And depression can drain your energy. But remember all the good you have done for people. Remember all the people who truly love you and that will be sad for the rest of their lives if you did something bad to yourself. Keep your head up and realize this pain will not last forever. Think of all the times you were in a negative situation and things seem to get better. God knows your heart and your deeds. And will bless you accordingly.
